<p>1477669 Miscellaneous tools BUNKER RAMO CORP 29 May 1974 [14 June 1973] 23841/74 Heading B4W [Also in Division H2] A tool 80 is used to push insulated wires into a connector 30 having an insulating block 31 with a section 75 for retaining the wires in the connector and a conductive part 37 having flanges 54, 55 for cutting through the insulation and contacting the wire (Fig. 2 not shown). The tool 80 has guides 84 to grip the wire and pendant portions 81, 83, 86 to push the wire into the conductive part and the retaining section 75. Shoulders 87 of the tool act as stops when they touch the top of the block. In another embodiment the tool 180 (Figs. 9 and 10) comprises a series of lugs 181 with additional lugs 181A and guides 184, and has off-set catches 185, 186 to go round the connector. After use to locate and connect the wires, the tool remains as part of the connector and may be covered with a housing (188, Fig. 15 not shown).</p> |
