The platform has a wide shape with a large surface area-to-depth ratio (1). The wave motion is stabilised by a deep keel (2) and by optional control surfaces (5) at the bottom of the keel. A propulsion unit in the keel enables the craft to reach the surface or submerge, as can controlled buoyancy chambers. The platform can be fitted with weapons targetting including IR ranging units which can be extended over the water surface. A weapons delivery system completes the system, with SAM or underwater torpedos. USE/ADVANTAGE - Stable in waves, movable. Anti-helicoptor weapons launcher. |
