<p>1417903 Powder coatings VEBA-CHEMIE AG 1 Oct 1973 [5 Oct 1972] 45811/73 Heading C3B A powder coating process uses a lacquer obtained by reaction, at elevated temperature, of a polyepoxide having a melting point >40‹ C. and an imidazoline of general formula in which R is H, alkyl or aryl; R<SP>1</SP> is a cycloalkyl, heterocyclic or R radical; R<SP>11</SP> an alkyl or aryl substituted alkylene or arylene radical; and X is H or a radical I are used at 2-10% by wt. relative to the weight of the lacquer. Examples of I are 2- phenylimidazoline, 2-benzylimidazoline, p-tolylimidazoline, tetramethylene - bis - imidazoline, and 1,4 - phenylene - bis - imidazoline. Levelling agents, pigments, dyes and fillers may optionally be present.</p> |
