<p>Proces for removal of hardened cements from surfaces comprises contacting surface with a comp. contg. 60-99 wt.% methyl acetoacetate, 1-40 wt. % water and opt. 0.5-5 wt. % of a penetrating aid such as an anionic nonionic or cationic detergent. The compsn. destroys the cement, but residual quantities do not affect the properties of freshly made cements. Unlike conventional methods, little damage is done to the equipment.</p> |
