Plastics drink bottle blow moulding appts. has a split mould having mould halves which are movable towards and away from one another by levers, one end of which is connected to the half moulds and the other to two diametrally opposite spigots carried by a drive shaft. The split mould includes a base mould portion which is introducible between the half moulds mounted slidably on guide bars. - Parisons which are carried by radially indexable arms supporting adaptors are inserted into the mould when the half moulds are moved away from one another and the base portion is displaced axially away from the adaptor. Adaptors are reciprocated axially by pneumatic cylinders.
