The collapsible cot for infants has a parallelepiped pin-jointed frame with X-frame bracing in the opposed longitudinal sides. The cot is particularly stable in the erected form and has a base of plane horizontal board (5,51). The cot sub-structure has top and bottom horizontal ring frames of rectangular plan form. Each ring frame comprises two U-frames (2,21,4,41) of which the leg ends are pin-jointed (3,13) together. The bottom ring frame (4,41) has plane board infill with twin boards (5,51) deployed and abutting on the hinge axis (13). In major elevation the bracing presents two vertically opposed V formations (7,71,9,91) which superimposes into two contiguous X-frames. The apex of the inverted V coincides with the hinge (3) of the top ring frame, and the legs (7,71) extend below the boards (5,51) to form feet. The apex of the upright V coincides with the hinge (13) of the bottom ring frame, and all bracing members tie between the two ring frames. Pin joints are provided at all connections.
