<p>The bale pick-up machine consists of a trough, preferably made of steel, which is pulled along the ground beside the towing machine to which it is connected by two pivoting arms. The front part of the trough has a tapering-outwards V-shaped opening in which the bales are inserted. The front end of the trough also has an outer pick-up consisting of a chain with blades on driven by a hydraulic motor from the tractor. The front part of the trough at least is supported on runners which also protect the drive mechanism. The two pivoting arms supporting the trough are each mounted on a pivot fixed to the towing machine. Each of the arms is driven by a hydraulic jack.</p> |
