Reinforced concrete slab with insulant core - has inner peripheral reinforcing cage locating core and opposed face meshes

The reinforced concrete slab has an insulating core and a reinforcement system which obviates thermal bridging. The insulating core is fixed in position by an internal reinforcing cage which receives opposed face reinforcing meshes. The cage comprises two members of symmetrically undulating 'V' form, two ladder frames and tie bars. The ladder frames are of the same width as the undulating bars, and are fixed to the latter with rungs coinciding with 'V' apices. The composite undulating bars and ladder frames are then placed on edge parallel and opposite one another, and joined by tie bars at the 'V' apices.
