<p>Batch type glass melting furnace comprises a structure and a melting chamber inside it, which have spaces between their permeters for collecting and retaining vitreous liq. formed from dpposn. of evaporated precursors, and channels whereby the extraneous liq. can be evacuated, so that the glass obtd. in the melting chamber is kept free from such material. Formation of stores, bubbles, etc. due to mfg. soap is avoided. Compsn. of main glass melt is more accurately controllable.</p> |
