Round cornered plate mfr. - with sharp edged recesses cut in corners of internal cladding to accommodate rounded inserts

The plate is first cut out with sharp corners, and strips (2,3) of stratified cladding material are stuck along the edges. Sharp-cornered recesses (6) are then cut out of the corners and corner pieces (A) to fit in the recesses are separately manufactured. These pieces each have a rounded edge giving the desired shape of the finished plate, and a strip of stratified material is hot-fixed to this edge. Each piece is then fitted in the recess provided.
