<p>A rectangular base has a flat top in which a rectangular opening is formed, with sides parallel to those of the base and accommodating an articulator mounting plate, rotating on a fixed axis parallel to one of the sides. A first carriage travels parallel to one of the sides at right angles to this axis, and a second one parallel to this axis in a guide fixed to the first carriage. A tool on the second carriage has a datum mark whose coordinates are defined with reference to a tri-rectangular trihedron of axes parallel to the carriage travel directions. A thin plate support of transparent material rotates coaxially to an articulator hinge parallel to the travel direction of the second carriage when the first one is fixed and connected to a support rotating about parallel axis. The support hinges on a carriage travelling perpendicularly to the base, and its hinge axis has a coaxial aiming point which can be brought into line with the articulator hinge axis.</p> |
