PURPOSE:To accurately read out and write information by contacting the brush of a cleaning part with the recording face of an optical disk and brushing the recording face in accordance with the rotation of a disk to remove dust. CONSTITUTION:Apertures are opened on the upper and lower faces of a card- like case 12 and the case 12 is loaded to an optical disk device so as to be ejected. At the time of using an optical disk cartridge 10, the case 12 is inserted into the optical disk device, a shutter 22 is driven so as to expose the apertures of the bottom part and the cover part of the case 12 and the hole of the optical disk 24 is connected to a turn table. At the time of starting the rotation of the turn table, the recording face of the optical disk is rotated in the contacted state with the brush 36 of the cleaning part 28 and an air flow occurs. When the rotational frequency of the disk 24 is increased and the air pressure of the air flow is increased, the brush 36 is floated and the lower face of the disk 24 is brushed. Since the contacting period of the brush is short, the recording face is not abraised, sticking dust or the like can be removed, so that information can be accurately written/read out. |
