Method of creating keying points on a metallic substrate for retaining a ceramic coating esp. in a dental prosthesis comprises applying to the substrate an assembly of metals, one at least of which is in granular form. The metals applied have different m.pts. that of the granular metal being the higher, but being less than that of the substrate metal. After coating, the substrate is heated to fuse the lower m.pt. metal(s) so as to weld the grains to the substrate. Adhesion between metal and ceramic prosthesis is improved. |
