The mounting bracket for electrical motors and generators is intended to allow such machines to be mounted in a variety of positions with a minimum of alteration to the bracket or the chassis on which it is to be mounted. The machine itself (1) has two integral rectangular bars (3) running along the outside of the casing parallel to its axis. Each bar has a square 'U' shaped section except at the extreme ends, in which are drilled and tapped holes. The support bracket (13) is secured to these bars via a spacing plate (8) bolted to the machine by the tapped holes, the bracket itself being held by bolts (7) trapped in the 'U' of the bars. The arrangement permits adjustment of the motor along all three axes.
