<p>A potentiometer or rheostat, esp. those with contact studs and spaced windings co-operating with a slider, has the windings embedded in strip of binder contg. a filler and an electrically (semi-)conductive powdery material (I). The binder is pref. an epoxy resin, a polyimide or a silicone. The filler is pref. Uf resin powder, and/or colloidal Al2O3 or SiO3. (I) may be e.g. C black, graphite, metal oxide or metal resinates. The appts. has good resolving power, is free of contact faults, and is resistant to aggressive environments and wear.</p> |
