Correction of vertical sweep linearity in TV receiver - employs addition of phase inverted and integrated sweep generator waveforms

A sawtooth current waveform for the vertical sweep coils of a TV receiver is corrected for non linearity effects of having a curved tube face by adding to the sawtooth waveform two other waveforms corresponding to powers of 2 and 3 times a linear function of time. Independent adjustments are obtained. A frame oscillator (1) drives an integrator (100) forming the sweep generator whose output (103) supplies a function generator (200) producing a phase inverted sawtooth waveform and a second function generator (300) comprising an integrator (301). The outputs of both function generators are added (400) for application to the sweep generator (100). The composite waveform is amplified (5) for application to the sweep coils (6).
