The direct vision type camera viewfinder device has exposure data and other information reflected into the viewfinder image ield. A rigid or flexible light guide system illumates the data sequence in the viewfinder. The light guide system has a light input fitted to the camera itself. It is pivot mounted within the camera and acts as an indicator for the data display device (20) which may be in the form of a row of digits.
