<p>The plate valve is intended for use as a closing device. The lip seal has a skimmer or wiper that operates under pressure to achieve a trouble free cutting operation parallel to the slide plate surface. The plate moves in a housing and has smooth parallel sides. The lip seal fits in an internal groove and the skimmer is made of hard spring material such as alloy steel, chromed metal or plastic. The springs is bent upwards at the base section of the groove.</p> |
