The process is for provision of heat insulation in a hollow air cavity between wall masonry and facing, esp. as found in old buildings. Holes are made through the facing shell at the corners of the house and at roof level and/or below window sills. The discharge end of a conveyor pipe is connected to the holes. Its other ends is connected to a supply blower by which beads of foamed material are sucked from a container and blown into the cavity. The beads may be of 3-6 mm. diameter. Durable heat insulation is provided, without the usual tendency for the foamed material to settle into the lower areas.
|
