Flow switch operates at given fluid rates - using positionable proximity switch and float regulated by needle

The flow switch operates when a given flow rate is exceeded (or not reached) and consists of a cylindrical fleat (5) inside the flow tube (1) and a proximity switch: (11) outside the tube. The proximity switch can be moved up and down the tube to set the height and therefore the flow rate at which the float triggers it. The cylindrical float has an axial hole in which a tapered needle (7) is positioned. Screwing the needle in or out adjusts the flow through the axial hole and therefore the height to which the cylinder rises.
