<p>The receiver for edge-perforated, continuous stationery from high speed printing machine forms a flatter top surface on the completed stack. The receiver comprises a rigid supporting table (20) having a centrally positioned strip (22) made of aluminium with a convex top surface. An elastic base plate (24) made of laminated plastic or spring steel, is screwed or riveted to the top of the strip. As the continuous stationery falls in zig-zag format onto the elastic plate, the plate ends are gradually forced down under the weight of the papr until eventually they touch the underlying supporting table. Since the paper stack is thicker in the region of the edge perforations located near the plate ends, the completed stack is thinner at its centre than its edges thereby creating a stack with an approx. flat top but concave bottom.</p> |
