<p>1290744 Development of photographic sliver halide materials FUNJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 22 Jan 1970 [24 Jan 1969] 3232/70 Heading G2C A photographic silver halide material is exposed and developed in the presence of a compound of the formula:- wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are each H, alkyl hydroxyalkyl or alkenyl having three or more carbon atoms, at least one of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 being alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or alkenyl. The compound may be incorporated in the developer, a bath prior to development or a silver halide emulsion. The material may be a fine-grain material. The compound may be 2-methylimidezole, 1-methylimidazole, 2, 4-dimethyl-imidazole, 2- ethyl-4-methylimidazole, 2-ethylimidazole, or 1-allyl-2-methylimidazole. Microfilm is processed according to this invention in Ex5. These compounds are development accelerators and increase the effective speed with no increase in fog or deterioration of the silver image.</p> |
