KNOCKING DETECTION DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To secure compactness of circuit scale and dispence with adjusting work of circuit parts and the like by providing a first stage amplifier, a comparator and a D/A converter as a main hardware components of a knocking detecting device. CONSTITUTION:A knocking signal outputted from a knocking sensor 1 is inputted to a first stage amplifier 2, and a knocking signal outputted from the stage 2 is inputted to a comparator 3. A digital signal of slice level data outputted from a microcomputer 4 is inputted to a D/A converter 6 via a data bus 5. An analog signal of a slice level obtained by a D/A conversion is inputted to the comparator 3. The comparator 3 outputs a signal by comparing the knocking signal with the analog signal of the slice level. Occurrence of knocking is judged by counting a pulse number by means of a knocking judgement means based on the output signal. The slice level is calculated and compensated by learning difference with its standard slice level.
