<p>1380632 Rotary mould table J L SALTEL 5 Oct 1972 [6 Oct 1971] 46031/72 Heading B5A A turntable 1, Fig. 1, carrying a plurality of moulds 2, e.g. for moulding polyurethane shoe soles, rotates at constant speed and during filling of each mould entrains a structure 4, 5 carrying a mould filling device 3 and pivoted about the turntable axis X, the structure being returned to its starting position to fill the next mould by a means, e.g. jack 16. The structure has rollers 6, 7 running on rail 8 and is entrained by outward movement of fingers 13 beneath the moulds. In a second embodiment, Figs. 3, 4 and 7, a table rotating on a shaft 33 and carrying moulds 111 having tops 147 pivotally mounted on arms 135 guided between members 155. Jacks 109 open and close the moulds when switches 89, 91 are operated by fixed abutments 93 and 95. An arm 161, Fig. 4, is attached by a plate 183 to a plate 41 rotatably mounted on shaft 33. The arm 161 is supported by rollers engaging a stationary base 39 fixed to the turntable base 23 and is guided by rollers engaging rail 173 of base 39. The end of arm 161 supports a base 213 for a mould filling device 247, Fig. 7, mounted on a carriage 227 rolling on rails 225. The base 213 is entrained by engagement of fingers 153 fixed beneath each mould by a finger advanced from an assembly 215 by a jack 257 (Figs. 8, 9, not shown). On engagement of the fingers the jack (257) is rotated to engage and operate a switch (277) which actuates a jack 119 mounted on an arm 121 rotating with the turntable. This jack operates a fixed switch 115 to start mould filling. Valves are opened to supply device 247 with the two components of polyurethane which are mixed by a screw driven by motor 241 via pulley 245. The heel part of a single or double shoe mould is filled and then jack 237 moves the carriage 227 forward to fill the sole portion. Arm 161 is returned by a jack pivotally mounted on the base 39. Compartments 157 above the moulds contain filling material for use in moulding and boxes 159 receive the moulded soles.</p> |
