1409032 Antiskid braking systems SOC ANON DBA 15 Feb 1974 [19 March 1973] 6937/74 Heading F2F An antiskid braking system comprises one or more modulating valves 16, a pressure fluid source in the form of a pump 19 and accumulator 22 connected to a circuit through which fluid is supplied to a control chamber of each modulating valve, and an electronic logic element 28 supplying control signals to a control valve 26 for disconnecting the modulating valves from the fluid source and connecting them to pressure discharge means in response to particular variations in signals representing wheel speeds, a fluid pressure monitoring device in the form of a pressure sensitive switch 24 being provided to effect cancellation of the control signals when the fluid pressure drops below a predetermined value, the system also including a device 40 for delaying cancellation of the control signals when cancellation is initiated within the duration of a control signal. In the device 40 diodes D1 ... D4 receive positive signals from element 28 and every signal charges a capacitor C1 via a resistor R1 and if switch 24 closes while a signal is being received the potential at capacitor C1 turns on a transistor T1 which in turn switches on a transistor T2, the light 38 having been switched on to warn the driver. The positive signal appearing at resistor R6 is transmitted by diode D9 creating at point A a positive potential and a transistor T10 remains conductive so that element 28 continues to deliver control signals as long as capacitor C1 remains charged and an abrupt cut-out of the anti-skid control is prevented. |
