1479632 Headrest pivot SIEMENS AG 20 June 1974 [22 June 1973] 27496/74 Heading A4J [Also in Division E2] A headrest frame 4 is secured to a tube 7 which is pivotally engaged with end-pieces 6, 8 secured to a backrest 2. Plastics sleeves 16, 17 assist easy rotation between limits set by the engagement of pin 7 with slot 28 in end-piece 8. The pivot may be locked by engagement of serrated members 19, 20, member 19 being fast with end-piece 6, and member 20 being axially slidably keyed within a sleeve 21 fast with tube 7. A spring returned plunger 9'may be used to disengage the locking members. The pivot may be apertured for the passage of cable 30. The arrangement is situated exteriorly of the outer cartons of both backrest and headrest, and is preferably of such dimension as to conform with continuity of contour between the two. |
