<p>The lock has a stator with a lengthwise bore, eccentric if necessary, accommodating the rotor, there being rows of radial drillings in one half of the stator to accommodate hardened locking pins. A safety insert of hardened steel or other hard metal is fitted in a recess at right angles to the stator axis, the recess (10) being formed int he other half of the stator (12) in which there are no locking pins. The insert extends completely across this half of the stator, and provides protection against the latter being drilled through. The insert can be a hard metal plate in the form of a segment of a circle, fitting in a mating transverse slot in the stator.</p> |
