Interchangeable armature shaft for traction electrical machine - permits changing of shaft without need for rewinding armature

The armature for the electrical machine has an interchangeable armature shaft. It has a group of steel stampings arranged between clamping rings, the stampings having axial holes in them. It has also a collector which also has threaded axial holes in it. The threaded axial holes are formed in the clamping ring (2) near the collector. The collector (6, 7, 9) being fixed to the clamping ring (2). The unit comprising the group of steel pressings (4), the clamping rings (2, 3) and collector (6, 7, 9) are assembled onto the shaft (1). The clamping ring (2) has three axial holes in it and a cylindrical hub (5) designed to carry the collector.
