Packaging system for groups of bottles - by folding sheet around bottles to form sleeves and glueing lower edges after release of side pressure

The bottles may be packed in sets of 6 and are aligned accordingly on the feeder of the packing machine. The packing material consists of a single sheet of cardboard punched with holes for bottle necks. The packing sheet is placed over the bottles and then bent downwards on each side to form the sides. The lower ends of the sides are bent over to form the base which is glued to seal the bottles inside the package, the lower ends being held spaced apart during clamping of the sides against the bottles.
