The sawdust and wood chip incinerator recovers the heat generated, having a cylindrical combustion chamber into which the fuel is delivered at the top. The fuel falls under gravity towards a grille, under which combustion air is admitted. The fuel is delivered regularly onto a pointed diffuser (10), which spreads it evenly over the grille (11). This can be done via a tube (9), to the top of which fuel is fed regularly, without the possibility of any appreciable vertical air or gas current. The tube may be enclosed in a water jacket. The diffuser may be of conical section and form part of the grille. A fixed scraper smooths the material on top of the grille.
|
