Webs of yarn are attached to other webs on a beam, by unwinding preparation beams successively and rewinding them on a loom beam in the same machine, each web being tied to the preceeding one by an automatic warp knotter. The machine has a frame with, two unwinding spindles for the preparation beam, the pitch of which can be adjusted; two similarly adjustable winding spindles for the loom beam; and a drawing mechanism for one of the winding spindles. Method reduces the down time of the loom to the absolute minimum, since the beams have a number of webs of threads only limited by the outside dia. of the flanges. A conventional warp knotter is used.
|
