The door hinge has two arms, one (1) fixed to the upright of the body opening and the other (3) fixed to the door itself. The arms are joined by a common vertical rod (5). Two connecting rods (6,7) articulate respectively about axes (8,9) on the arms, and are hinged together like a compass joint by a knuckle (10). A stop shoulder (6a) on one rod operates with a face on the body hinge arm (1a). A spiral spring is mounted concentrically around an extension of the body mounted hinge. An elastic insert (12) in a rebate (13) of the door hinge arm provides a damped closing section against one knuckle joint (9).
