The sinewave generator for frequency synthesis, produces a variable-frequency constant-amplitude signal using freely selectable reference frequency. This reference frequency is generated more simply and cheaply that with known devices. A signal is produced whose components are all harmonics of the same fundamental frequency. This signal is passed to the input of a chain of frequency converters. Each converter can double or halve the highest amplitude and/or lowest frequency component passed to it, depending on sign. The reference frequency is equal to 2M time the fundamental frequency where M is a given integer denoting sign.
