Each carpet sample (15) is bonded to a stiff sheet of backing material (14). Each sample is hinged to an adjacent one with a hinge (16) of a flexible material e.g. textile. Top and bottom covers (10, 11) are also connected with a flexible strip (12), enabling the sample book to be closed securely for ease of transport. Any required sample may be completely displayed the to the mature of the hinges. The samples may be pushed from one side to produce a staggered effect. This permits a section of all samples to be viewed simultaneously.
