<p>The vehicle chassis (1) has a mounting pin (4) in the middle, supporting the beam (3) at the top of the sugar-beet harvester frame. The rocker-arms (7, 8) are attached at the beam (3) ends (5, 6) and have an implement-attachment cap (9) on their free ends. Between the two rocker arms (7, 8) and the vehicle chassis (1) is a hydraulic drive mechanism (11, 12) with two pistons (13, 14) pinned (17, 18) to the vehicle chassis (1) and also (15, 16) to the rocker-arms (7, 8). On the implement frame (9) is a sensor (19) consisting of an arm of adjustable height and a switch mechanism. On the bottom of the arm is a feeler runner. There are two initiator switches transmitting signals to the piston connecting rods (11, 12). The sugar-beet harvester has a row of pivot-mounted pairs of wheels with prongs around, with rubber strips between each two wheels of a pair.</p> |
