The spray and suction installation for the cleaning of upholstered furniture has at least one spray nozzle for the spraying of a cleaning liquid and at least one suction nozzle fitted behind the spray nozzle in the direction of the cleaner's forward movement. The spray nozzle (3) is attached free of any covering to the cleaning installation (1) and offset to the rear in the spraying direction (Pf2) in relation to the mouth (4a) of the suction nozzle (4) and is directed to the area lying in front of the mouth of the suction nozzle when viewed in the direction of forward movement of the whole installation (Pf1).
