The jewellry chain link has a stamped rectangular hole, where the link is split on one narrow side and its shank can be bent to join it with another chain link. The split point consists of a stamped slot, whose width is at least equal to the spring back path of the two shanks on bending together and/or at the most is so wide that the difference between the slot width and the chain link thickness is equal to the spring back path of the two shanks. The slot is expanded conically to the outer narrow side of the chain link, and here achieves a width, which is at least equal to the thickness of the chain link.
|
