<p>The equipment transports strip-or sheet-type material, with two surfaces sliding in relation to each other. One or both the surfaces have brushes mounted on them (1, 2), the bristles of which extend in the travel direction. The brush bristles can be of steel wire, with sharpened tips. Where one surface has no brushes, it can have ribs running in the travel direction, the brushes on the other surface working in the grooves between the ribs. The material of the ribbed surface can have a coefficient of friction greater than the brush surface on the return stroke, but lesser than it on the forward stroke.</p> |
