<p>The appts. is provided in conjunction with a belt filter with a filter chamber, using a paper belt which is advanced stepwise as the filter medium. No additional conveying means is required apart from the vacuum pump mounted on the filtrate side, for spreading the required liquid suspension of filtering medium over the sealed surface of the belt. Pref. the required amount of liquid suspension is metered by valves, by a metering vessel by the vol. present in the filter chamber. Intermediate filtration clarification can be obtd. by correlating the filtration properties of the paper belt used and of the filtering medium without advance movement. The system is simple reliable and cheap.</p> |
