<p>Melt-adhesive (I) is based on butadiene-styrene- or isoprene-styrene copolymer contg. 25-50 (30-40) wt. % styrene and having mol. wt. 50000-600000. The copolymer is pref. present as a block copolymer, contg. 25-50 (30-40) wt. % polystyrene. Pref. (I) is based on block copolymer comprising 60 wt. % butadiene and/or isoprene, and 40 wt. % styrene, having mol. wt. of 110000. Used specifically for self-adhesive tapes, partic. for packaging. Compsns. have high adhesive strength and improved resistance to creep. In an example, an adhesive tape was produced by coating PVC foil with homogeneous mixt. of 100 pts. wt. 60/40 butadiene/styrene block copolymer, mol. wt. 11000, 8 pts. wt. polyterpene resin and 0.3 pts. wt. naphthylamine.</p> |
