The power pack produces DC voltages required for the operation of the store and other parts of the controller. A power source is provided which continues the power supply to the store in the event the mains supply or the power pack fails. The CMOS store is a monolithic integrated circuit. The power source comprises a capacitor connected in parallel to the load formed by the store. Discharge of the capacitor via the power supply lines is prevented by a diode.
