1472088 Stiffening material DEUTSCHE GOLD-UND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 4 July 1974 [16 July 1973] 29656/74 Addition to 1442637 Heading B2E [Also in Division B5] A material for stiffening, supporting or dimensionally stabilising a substrate comprises a stiffening material comprising at least one thermoplastic plastics material and at least 3 parts by weight of carbon black per 100 parts by weight of thermoplastics material, coated on one or both sides with an adhesive coating based on a thermoplastic plastics material. The materials may be used for stiffening shoe toe caps and heels. The thermoplastic plastics material may be polystyrene, a copolymer of styrene with acrylonitrile and/ or butadiene, polychlorobutadiene, polyvinyl acetate, a polyacrylate or polymethacrylate, polyvinyl or vinylidene chloride, ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, ionomer resin, a polyolefin or a polyamide. The adhesive may be based on a polychlorobutadiene, polyvinyl acetate, polyacrylic ester, ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer or nitrile rubber. |
