<p>1472013 Laminates JOHNSON & JOHNSON 11 April 1975 [12 April 1974] 14984/75 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] Fabrics are stiffened by laminating thereto fusible interlinings comprising a fabric carrying a coating of a thermoplastic-thermosetting composition comprising (1) a terpolymer where R is ethylene, propylene or butylene, a and b are substantially equal, a + b is 20c to 100c, X is CONH 2 or COOH and n is 100 to 300 and (2) an aminoplast, whereby the coating will melt and become adhesive at temperatures about 150‹ F. and will cross-link without the addition of a catalyst when heated to a temperature of 250‹ to 350‹ F. for a period not longer than 10 seconds. In an example outer apparel fabrics are laminated to interliners comprising woven fabrics coated with compositions comprising ethylene / vinyl chloride / acrylamide terpolymer and melamine/formaldehyde resin in an 11 by 13 dot pattern at 30 gms./square yard.</p> |
