摘要 1496293 Antimony trichloride; antimony oxide PREUSSAG AG 23 Feb 1976 [17 March 1975] 07060/76 Heading C1A Antimony trichloride is made by reacting antimony sulphide with gaseous HCl in a non-aqueous solvent at temperatures below the boiling point of SbCl 3 . The non-aqueous solvent may be SbCl 3 , in which case the reaction is carried out at 73-223‹ C., preferably 80‹ C. Alternatively, an organic solvent such as benzene or a chlorinated hydrocarbon may be used as the non-aqueous solvent. The antimony sulphide, which is preferably Sb 2 S 3 , but may be a mixed metallic sulphide or sulphides of different formula as well as ores and ore concentrates which contain such sulphides, is preferably introduced in extremely fine particle size. After completion of the reaction, the SbCl 3 may be separated by filtration or distillation. If it is desired to make antimony oxide, a quantity of pure water is preferably dissolved in the still liquid chloride in amounts of 5-8% and the hydrolysis, e.g. with NH 4 OH may be carried out at room temperature.
