The coil is printed on an insulating plate and has a number of helical turns which are of different width. According to the requirements the width of the printed turns is smaller on the inner turn than on the outer ones, or the width may be reduced from the outer turns to the inner ones. Alternately part of the turns may be smaller width than another part of the coil. The width reduction in the coil part with the smaller width may be located between the coil terminals, where the turns run along a straight line. The design of the printed coil reduces the space requirements, while safeguarding a given quality with a maximum inductance. |
