<p>1422425 Venetian blind LEVOLOR LORENTZEN Inc 5 June 1973 [6 July 1972] 26749/73 Heading E1J In a venetian blind having at least two spaced ladders 342 wherein the longitudinally shiftable tilt cord 368 has front and rear horizontal runs 368b and 368c respectively connected to the front and rear ladder cords 342a and 342b, the portion of the tilt cord which extends between said connections is at least partly of metal to reduce stretching of the cord. The metal portion of the tilt cord extends around a pulley 364 in the blind's head and is attached to the ladder cords and the rest of the tilt cord by means of eyelets 371, 372, E and E'. The tilt cord and lift cord 378 are wound on respective reels 391, 392 on a common shaft 393, the tilt cord being in sufficient frictional engagement with the reel to permit tilting of the slats but, after they are fully tilted, the cord slips on its reel and the blind can be wound up.</p> |
