An elastic bandage for medical purposes, consists of a layer of an elastic fabric and a second double layer having gas or air cushions, laid out as strips or as separate islands on the bandage inner surface. The bandage has an elastic layer on one side of which there is a double layer with air or gas cushions. The double layer is a laminate of two films, one of which is embossed to form the cushions and has cup-like depressions distributed over its surface. Allows a free circulation of air to the surface of the skin, whilst only a little of the bandage is permanently in contact. When the bandage is stretched the air cushions on the inner surface are unaffected.
