In the fusion of rotationally symmetrical glass bodies, individual components such as the bulbs and frames of incandescent lamps and other products of vacuum technology, the glass bodies to be joined are held in specific positions, set into rotation, heated by means of burner jet, supplied with fuel gas/or mixture or if necessary oxygen, formed and fused together. The glass bodies held part at specific distance and set in rotation are advanced continuously along a pref. linear heating zone of pre-determined length at pre-determined speed, the heating zone being formed by a series of locally fixed glass flames on one side of the transport path, and a heat storage and radiating wall fixed opposite. Risk of constant breakage is avoided and increased and stabilised output is obtd. by uniform heating and cooling of the lamp bulbs and frames.
|
