DAYLIGHT PRESS

Board press has a pair of relatively movable platens of which the lower platen is movable towards the upper stationary platen by an inflatable bag which is disposed between the platen and a support. Used in mfr. of pressing panels, boards or laminates. Press. is of light construction as the pressure is exerted uniformly over the whole face of the platens, which can be of lighter construction and mounted on frame of lighter wt. as its function is primarily to withstand tensile stresses induced by the bag.
