<p>The coiling mechanism winds narrow bands of fibres emerging from a machine for preparing yarn for spinning. It has a funnel (1) leading down to a pair of rollers (2) which draws the band of fibres down an inclined chute (5) for coiling (17) into the container below. The coiling mechanism is supported on elastic ledges (23). The angle of inclination of the chute (5) depends on the total centrifugal and drag forces exerted on the fibrous band. The entire coiling mechanism rotates about a vertical axis (A-A), and the bevel wheel (13) and shaft (12) rotates the driving rollers (2).</p> |
